A really lovely Solid Hallmarked Silver Gilt & Shagreen Cigarette / Card Case dating to 1927-28.

In superb condition for age, this lovely case is from the Art Deco era and would certainly have been a luxury item in its day. Originally a cigarette case it would also make a stunning business card case.

Solid Silver body with green shagreen on top and bottom. Crisp hallmarks for 1927-28 and the makers initials 'George Henry Cowell' of London. Cool sliding mechanism....slide top sideways by a couple of mm to open.

Inscription for Dec 2nd 1928.

Size ~ 98mm x 89mm x 10mm ~ 147gm (5.2oz)
