18th Century George III Silver Snuff Box 1790
18th Century Georgian solid silver snuff box by the sought after silversmith Samuel Pemberton and with full hallmarks for Birmingham 1790.
Excellent quality example, with an invisible hinged silver lid and decorated with attractive reeded design throughout. Has a silver thumb piece at the front to assist opening.
The interior still retains its gilt interior and a vacant cartouche on the hinged cover. Weighs 54 grams. Clear hallmarks.
Measurements measures approx 2.5 inches (63mm) x 1.75 inches (45mm) and is 0.7 inches (17mm) deep.
No repairs and no dents. The hinge works well and the interior gilding is still intact. Good gauge of silver. There is a tiny split/nick on the top left of hinge. For a piece over 210 years old, overall it is in superb condition.
