A lovely MatchSafe in Tortoiseshell,with Pierced Silver circular mount on the front.it still contains a set of Matches which are held in place by a sprung catch.The box is held by Gilt Metal and has a Spring mechanism to close it. Excellent quality. Probably early 20th cent. Dimensions are:-6.5cms x4.5cms. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
