Silver Cup by Goldsmiths & Silversmiths, London
An attractive solid silver cup by William Gibson & John Langman of the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company who were active at 112 Regent Street in London's West End from 1880.
The cup, which is 4.5" high, carries a hallmark for 1894/5 with makers initials also shown. The marks are slightly rubbed but still easy to identify. The decoration on the cup shows an Art Nouveau influence which was very much the fashion of the time. It is beautifully made and has a flowing and generous handle, also in the style favoured by proponents of the Art Nouveau movement.
It is engraved to the front with the name "Eric Vivyan" and the date "1895". All items are sold with a 14 day money back guarantee. In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase, we will gladly issue a refund (excluding carriage costs). The item must be returned in the same condition as it left us. The refund will be issued on the item's return to our premises.
