Very rare example of the sought-after "Piercy's Patent" thimble. It's constructed from tortoiseshell, (or more accurately turtle shell) silver and gold. It features a coat of arms which is always displayed slightly crooked. This one is in superb condition with no damage or repairs. It comes with a nice case which may or may not be original but it was how it came to me. The patent was taken out in 1816. I prefer payment by bank transfer, details on request.
I regret that due to current regulations I am unable to ship ivory items to the United States, even though all items are CITES compliant.
