Large antique Persian/Middle Eastern/Islamic bowl or jardiniere c1890.
This is a beautiful example, heavy casting (5 kg) with lovely enamel decoration to the main body. The rim has distinctive pierced decoration.
It has aged well and overall condition is good with only minor surface wear/rubbing and a few very small \'nibbles\'/chips/losses to the enamel, all very much as you would expect from a piece of this age.
There is a small hole drilled in the base and possibly it was used as a lamp base at some point. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions.
