Pair Cased Lobster / Seafood Picks - Harrods 1929
A very fine pair of solid sterling silver lobster picks in superb condition. Each is fully hallmarked for London 1922 and struck for the famous maker, Richard Woodman Burbidge for Harrods.
The silver sits in it's original presentation case lined in velvet and cream silk, printed with the famous luxury retailer's signature "Harrods London S.W."
All in superb condition each pick measures 7 1/2" in length and the box measures 8 1/2" x 2" x 1".
Combined weight of 64 grams / 2.06 Troy Ounces.
Richard Woodman Burbidge’s name is synonymous with high quality silver and it is inextricably linked with the world’s leading luxury department store, Harrods, which is located on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, London. At this time the Harrods silver workshops were located at Trevor Square. Richard Woodman Burbidge was also the president of the Incorporated Association of Retail Distributors. In 1919 Burbidge was awarded Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) From this time he was known as Sir Woodman or Sir Richard.
