Hand Forged Wrought Iron Fire Guard Screen Fire Guard Fire Screen Wrought Iron %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
An early to mid 20th century 'estate made' 3 section wrought iron hand forged fireguard screen. The wrought iron frame is riveted together to hold the sturdy copper mesh, and stands on splayed feet. The only part of the fire guard not riveted are the hinges which have been hand forged. Believed to be connected with an equestrian theme due to the wrought iron decoration of horse stirrups and very sizeable horns.
The fire guard is in good condition, no damage to the mesh, and can be folded flat when not in use.
A good bespoke handmade item.
The centre panel is 100cmW x 80cmH
Each side panel is 40cmW x 80cmH

Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
