A really unusual and attractive antique hallmarked SILVER TABLE CIGAR LIGHTER by renowned silversmiths 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd' of Regent Street London.

Hallmarked on the top and base of the silver body and also on the hinged snuffer, with maker's name and lion passant. No date letter evident, but from the design we date this to the early 1900's.

The solid silver lighter is mounted on a brass base also mounted with a blank silver cartouche. 3 fixing holes on the base suggest this may have been a maritime piece which could be securely fixed to a table top on a ship.

Good antique condition with only very minor age-related marks. No significant dings or damage.

Would make a handsome desk or dining table accessory. A lovely gift for a cigar aficionado or collector.
