A wonderful opportunity to own a usable antique from the most globally recognised silversmith of the 20th Century. These lovely tongs would work for ice cubes as well as sugar. They display all the attributes of the great Danish silversmith's work - quality, function, strength and elegance. This pattern was deigned By him and this pair were made during his lifetime. Georg Jensen – A pair of Lily of the Valley Pattern, sprung sugar nips. The Lily of the Valley Pattern was designed by Jensen in 1913. The tongs have full English Sterling hallmarks (925) for import to London 1931and Georg Jensen English Sponsor's mark (G.J Ld) together with Georg Jensen Danish maker's (GJ in a ring of dots). Good spring, excellent condition - 10.5cm long, 21 g.

Excellent condition. Spring works well, no damage to silver. Minor surface scratching consistent with age and use. All marks clear.
I trade in small silver, jewellery and objets d'art. I sell primarily at antiques fairs and in cabinets in Christique Antique Centre in Dorking. I try to find unusual and interesting stock and like to keep turning it over, so I can buy more. Postage and packing are free within the UK - unless explicitly stated otherwise.
