Decorated with Reynold's Angels.
Reynold's Angels is the name given to a painting by Sir Joshua Reynolds first exhibited in 1787. It shows five different angles of the head of five-year-old Lady Frances Gordon. It captured the imagination of silversmiths around the turn of the 20th century who used it to decorate their silverware.
Approximate dimensions: length 20cm, weight 80.5 grams.
As you can see from the photos, there are quite a few knocks and dings on the silver especially near the ends.
The hair of the brush is in good condition.
The Reynold's Angels design though is in very good condition, still sharp and showing the details.
