A fine example of an Irish SILVER Whisky Quaich / Whisky Drinking Cup. Firmly Art Deco in style from the height of the Deco era.

Assayed and hallmarked for Dublin 1924 with maker's intials 'E J'. Edmond Johnson was a highly renowned Dublin Silversmith and Master of the Goldsmith's Company of Dublin from 1883-1890.

Possibly a christening gift, engraved 'Samuel Bennet Ozle Little. Spa Hill. 5th April 1927.' The base is also engraved E.V.L. 22 Mountjoy Square (an upmarket Dublin address!)

This would have been an expensive gift in it's day, and would make a wonderful gift again for a whisky drinker or silver collector!

Manufactured in heavy gauge solid silver. Weight ~ 3.5oz (~100gm). Height ~78mm.
