We have for sale a very striking Charles Edwards arts and crafts three handled silver bowl c1908.

This heavy silver bowl combines in its rather lovely design elements of the arts and crafts and art nouveau movements. The bowl consists of a planished body siting on three legs extending almost organically towards three angular handles in the form of branching twigs with each branch terminating with a laterally positioned leaf on the upper side of the body. The bowl carries full English hallmarks for London 1908 along with the makers marks for Charles Edwards.

The bowl is 2 inches (5.1cm) high, 5 inches (12.7cm) in diameter and weighs approximately 210g (approximately 6.75 troy ounces). The bowl is in a very good condition although the makers marks are a little rubbed but easily legible. There also seems to be a small impression to the interior just below the hallmarks, but this isn't visible from the exterior.
