Bergman bronze Snake Dancer
An early Bergman gilt bronze in excellent condition. Most of the original colours are still present. Good patination and well detailed throughout. Stamped with the Bergman Urn and the Namgreb marks -clearly present but somewhat hard to fully read - see images. Height including the marble base is 24 cms. Estimated date circa 1910. Refs: Bermann Bronzes Sculptors and Founders 1800-1930, vol 4, no 4377 and Antique Vienna Bronzes by Joseph Zobel, 2008, page 151 (for the same model).
