Beautiful Regency rosewood pole screen Regency rosewood
Stunningly beautiful Regency rosewood pole screen with the best tapestry / needlework panel I have seen for quite some time.

The base is veneered in rosewood and has turned rosewood feet, the column is solid rosewood and it has all its original brass fittings.

The screen part is also rosewood framed and is a nice shape. The tapestry is of outstanding quality, it is exceptionally finely done and also has some painted section such as the skin and the clouds. It depicts Shakespear's Mid Summer nights dream where Titania is out in the moonlight.

The piece originally came from Stobhall Castle in Perthshire which is the home of the Earl of Perth.

SIZES The screen is 17" by 14" and it sands 36" high overall.
