Art Nouveau German Silver Mistletoe Fruit Dish
The perfect way to display your festive treats this Christmas in this mistletoe themed silver fruit/bread dish. Classic German art nouveau style with an oval bowl with embossed decoration around the sides of upturned mistletoe sprigs. Beautifully cast handles formed as mistletoe branches and set on 4 ornate feet again formed as branches and berries. Marked to the base with crescent moon, crown and 800 and makers mark for M. H. Wilkens & Sohne, c.1900.
It measures 35cm long across the handles and 24 cm long across the bowl. 19cm wide and 7.5cm high to the handles. It weighs 493g/15.9ozt. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs. 2 pinprick dints to the base of the bowl and light surface wear commensurate with age. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
