This is an antique tea spoon service. An English, silver cutlery case with sugar tongs by W.S. Savage & Co. of Sheffield, dated by hallmark to 1917.
Thirteen quality pieces presented within an upholstered case
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Quality Sheffield silver displays minimal tarnish throughout
The case interior dressed with dark blue velour and silk cotton in light cream
Twelve hallmarked spoons decorated with a fine foliate pattern
Corresponding pattern applied delicately to the sugar tongs
Maker's mark reads 'WSS & Co' for WS Savage & Co, of Sheffield
The hallmark bears the Lion Passant, the crown of Sheffield's assay office and the 'Z' of 1917
