This is an antique officer of the watch telescope. An English, mahogany and brass single draw terrestrial or astronomical refractor by Spencer, Browning & Rust, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1835.

Perfect for bird watching, landscape appreciation, wildlife stalking, or maritime observation. Equally suitable for observing the night sky.

Superb early Victorian example with attractive finish
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Dressed in select mahogany, the barrel shows fine grain interest
Clear and bright, large diameter objective with a generous size of 45mm (1.75")

Draws with a pleasingly firm action
