A. E. Jones Arts & Crafts Silver Tea Service
A very striking three piece silver tea set by Albert Edward Jones of round bellied shape with hammered finish and each set on 4 square legs with circular pad feet. The teapot with wooden handle and knop. Hallmarked for Birmingham, maker A. E. Jones, the teapot and sugar bowl dated 1922 and the creamer 1923.
Measurements:
Teapot measures 24cm (9 1/2") long, 23cm (5 1/8") high and 14cm (5 1/2") wide.
The sugar bowl measures 6cm (2 3/8") high and 10.8cm (4 1/4") wide.
The cream jug measures 12.3cm (4 7/8") long, 8.2cm (3 1/4") high and 8cm (3 1/8") wide.
Total weight 671g / 21.6ozt
Condition is very good. There appears to be a small repair to the bowl, tucked away under the rim along the line of the crease and minimally noticeable. No other repairs, damage or dents. Light surface wear only and the teapot has 3 pinpricks to the top. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque.
