Finely executed 19thc bronze figure of Greek Goddess, Demeter - her Roman equivalent is Ceres.
She is the Goddess of corn, grain & harvest. She was the daughter of Cronus & Rhea. Demeter was the Goddess of the earth, of agriculture & of fertility.
This figure depicts Ceres holding a sickle, with a cherub offering her ears of corn.
This bronze has been kept outside for a number of years, hence its' exceptionally fine, green patination.

RETURNS

Customers purchasing items over the internet can be assured that we offer a 14 day returns policy in the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your purchase.

We will issue a full refund less the RETURN transport/courier costs once the item is returned back to us in the same condition as when it left us and with the same courier, the return fee should be the same as the delivery fee and no more, estimate for a general piece of furniture within mainland UK £70 - £100 plus vat.

Please bear in mind that all antiques have slight blemishes and this adds to the character of them.

Please note if you cancel a purchase after paying but before the item has been delivered, we will issue a full refund excluding a 10% administration fee.

Please note that in the very unlikely event an item is delivered and arrives with damaged packaging, it is a requisite by many insurance companies used by shippers/couriers that the following is undertaken as soon as possible

1) photographs taken of the packaging/box before being opened and emailed to me

2) no packaging/boxes must be destroyed or cut as these may need to be viewed

3) photographs taken of the item (if damaged) and emailed to me
