A stylish 1930s solid silver handbag mirror. This Art Deco compact is also a large Deco pendant. The lid has a striking engine turned linear design and an oblong cartouche which bears the initials E J W. This antique was crafted by Sterling International c.1930. The compact and sterling silver chain have the most delightful patina. The catches and hinges work exactly as they should. The vermeil interior contains an excellent clear mirror. The base is signed 'INTERNATIONAL STERLING'. The compact measures 5.4 cm diameter and weighs 40.6 grams. The fine sterling belcher chain measures 24 inches long.
