A very pretty early 2oth C. brass mounted shell thimble holder, containing a 1916 Chester hallmarked Silver thimble.

The shell is in lovely original condition, mounted in brass or gold coloured metal with a lovely patina. The hinge and clasp are in good working condition.

The decorated thimble has no pin holes and just the usual surface wear commensurate with age. It is hallmarked for Chester 1916. Manufacturer is Robert Pringle & Sons.

A lovely little item which would make a delightful gift or addition to a collection.
