Derby Porcelain Yellow Ground Coffee Can Patt. 619
A delightfully decorated Derby porcelain coffee can with zingy bright yellow ground to the lower part framed with gilt and an upper border of gilt four-point stars filled with lime green circles and black enamel background and separated by gilded dots. Finished with a gilt rim and and ornate floral decoration to the handle. Puce mark to the base, c.1805 and painted pattern number 619.
It measures 6.2cm (2 7/16") high and 6.5cm (2 9/16") rim to rim.
Condition is very good with no damage or repair. Fine glaze crazing to the upper white ground and under the base. A bit of wear to the gilt on the rim and some minor surface wear to the yellow ground. The very lower area of the can is discoloured due to the glaze falling slightly short during manufacture. Christmas Posting we are posting up until Monday 23rd December!
