Derby Porcelain Blue & White Vine Leaf Pickle Dish
A pretty Derby porcelain leaf shape pickle dish or butter boat with serrated edge and pierced "stalk" Painted with a bright underglaze blue, with a feuille de choux border and the centre with stylised leaf vine, a similar design to that found also at Worcester, and smaller surrounding sprigs. Moulded detail to the reverse. Unmarked c.1770.
It measures 8.3cm (3 1/4") wide, 9.5cm (3 3/4") long and 3.5cm (1 3/8") high.
Condition: the handle has been professionally and subtley repaired (preserving the original surface), and there has also been a carefully filled in small chip to the rim which takes some attention to find. On the reverse is a small filled rim chip and another to the edge of the sharp vein leading to the main point. A very short glaze line can be seen on the reverse to the side of the stalk. Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
