A stunning tankard painted by Derbys greatest ever painter of flowers. The rim of the piece is gilded with roses painted on each side with a single blue flower to the front. Gilding can also be found to the handle and base. The painting is delicate and extremely beautiful. Billingsley was particularly associated with roses and this tankard is a fine example of his work. The Derby mark can be found to the base.
