Unusual Arts & Crafts copper sign, probably one of a pair with raised words quoted by Francis Bacon reading Old wood to burn, old friends to keep. The rest of the saying is Old wine to drink and old authors to read. There is a yin-yang symbol to the bottom of each side and the sun to the middle.
Dimensions - Width 96cms. Height 39cms.
Beautifully aged with some verdi gris to the edges. Holes to the top for fixing.
