Late 19th century circular, hide, African shield. Has a central boss
and applied designed to whole of the shield. Strong hide handle to the reserve. In generally good condition overall but with old sewn tear to motif on shield and two small holes drilled for hanging strap.

Approximately 53cm in diameter and depth to boss about 14cm.
