A Georgian oak stool with end stretchers, extremely rustic in construction. If it was a chair it would rightly be described as a "primitive" but completely sound and solid and ready for action. With a cushion on the dished top it has for some time served us as a footstool along with another to be listed anon. The whole is fascinating, the grain, the construction and all under a lovely patina, it glows. At one time the seat was split asunder but is now rock solid, all that happened a long time ago.
