19th century French Brigette sidearm in it's original steel scabbard. Cast brass stirrup hilt with a ribbed grip. Guard stamped comnedevilaleneuve(?) on one side and reverse side stamped N4. Curved, single edged broad blade with makers stamp. Steel curved scabbard stamped 147 with some small and one larger dent. There is rust staining to blade.

Approximately 79cm overall and blade 61cm.
