Pair Derby Porcelain Bocage Figures Of Sheep
A very sweet pair of small Derby porcelain figures of sheep, modelled as a standing ewe and a ram stood on mounded and scrolled bases with floral bocages to the rear. c.1770. Patch marks to the ram.
They measure 7cm (2 3/4") wide by 4.5cm - 5cm (1 3/4" - 2") deep and 9.5cm (3 3/4") high.
Condition is very good: the ram is suffering a loss to his right ear. He has a tight hairline across his front right leg and glaze lines partway around his rear legs. The ewe has a tiny nick to the tip of her ear. Both have the usual minor losses to the bocage and some wear to the gilding on the bases. The slightly different decoration to the bases and tones of the green enamels show that they have been matched but work very well together. No restoration. Christmas Posting we are posting up until Monday 23rd December!
Payment is accepted by bank transfer, card payments (via an online invoice, I'm afraid we cannot take payments over the telephone), Paypal and UK personal cheque. If you prefer to pay by Stripe please go to our website where we offer that option and additionally options to "Pay in 30 days" and to pay in 3 instalments, all securely supported.
Price includes UK shipping. Worldwide shipping is also available, please ask for a cost.
We wish to ensure all our customers are happy with their purchases and offer a full no quibble return policy for all items returned within 14 days. We ask that returns are notified within 7 days where possible. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility in terms of cost and safeguarding the item through transit.
