A fine Welsh panelled oak coffer, mule chest. This piece detaches into three sections. The lid with its original wooden Anglesey hinges can be detached from the base. The panelled chest section then lifts off the drawers. This chest has its lovely original colour and is in excellent solid condition throughout. The brass handles are old replacements. Sizes: 55"(140cms) wide. 22"(56cms) deep. 39"(99cms) high. Date circa 1780. I have reluctantly decided that after 60 years spent in this marvellous business it is, figuratively speaking, time to hang up my cheque book.
