Circa 1890

A great example of a late 19th century aesthetic movement metamorphic library chair & steps.

The chair is in the gothic style with chamfered back rails pierced with quatrefoils and domed caps to boarded seat.

Unfolds to form four steps with carpeted treads (the carpet is a later replacement)

Mechanism and hinges in good working order.

As a chair:
43cm X 37cm
Height 89cm

As a ladder:
43cm X 57.5cm
Height 89cm

Condition - Good.
Minor surface stains / scuffs.
