Handsome Victorian monk’s bench / hall seat / settle made from solid oak in excellent condition with amazing patination. The quality of the carving is excellent with the front, arms and back rest all profusely decorated. The seat lifts to a very clean interior which provide storage for boots, shoes, bags etc. This is not only beautiful to look at, but also a very practical piece of history with amazing colouring and beautiful graining.
