A small mahogany bureau of fine quality made by the Dublin firm of M. Butler. The drawers and fall are enhanced with feather-banding and chequer-board inlay. The fall opens to reveal an interior fitted with shaped drawers and fretwork friezes. The bureau is in excellent original condition. Each drawer is stamped (below a crown) M.BUTLER, COLLECTOR OF HIGH CLASS ANTIQUE FURNITURE AND WORKS OF ART, 28 & 121, Upper Abbey St., Dublin.
