A good quality antique Edwardian mahogany desk in the Chippendale manner dating from circa 1910. In mellow well-figured mahogany it stands on elegant carved cabriole legs culminating in ball and claw feet. It has five capacious drawers, each with attractive brass swan neck handles. To the top is a tooled red leather writing surface and it features a gadrooned edge, it is a good size, offering lots of work space. In original condition with wear and marks to the top commensurate with age.

Marks to the red writing surface (see photos). Various old veneer mends to the top. The kneehole under the desk is quite low so it may benefit to be raised up on castors
