US Civil War Brass hilted Musicians sword in brass mounted black leather scabbard. Ribbed all brass hilt stamped '23'. Also a faint stamp on the knuckle bow of 'ADK'. Fullered single edged blade which is stamped 'made by Ames MFc Chicopee'. On the other side stamped 'US' 'ADK' '1863'. Blade has been sharpened and has areas of pitting.

Approximately 99cm overall and blade length 82.5cm.
