A delightful 1960s unused Stratton compact and lipstick set. Both items are decorated with satinized golden enamel which is adorned with floral motifs. The set is in fabulous new old stock condition. There isn't any loss of design or enamel. The compact opens to reveal a gleaming interior which contains an excellent clear mirror. The original pouch, luxury Stratton puff, velour edged sifter, padded paper insert and instruction leaflet are present. The base is decorated with smooth gold tone stars and signed 'Stratton MADE IN ENGLAND'. The lipstick holder is every bit as gorgeous as the 'Convertible' compact. It is signed 'Stratton No 2 MADE IN ENGLAND'. The lipstick shaped instruction leaflet is in place as is the original pouch. The original presentation box is also in very good order. The exterior case is decorated with a gold and white honeycomb design. The box is made so that when it is opened it becomes a display stand for these high quality accessories. The interior lid is gold coloured and signed 'Stratton'. The interior base has custom made recesses covered in white satin. The compact measures 3" and weighs 99.1 grams. The lipstick holder measures 2 1/4 " and weighs 8.6 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
