A stunning gold plated Stratton compact which was crafted in the 1980s for the H Samuel antique jewellery chain. The original presentation box and puff are present. The compact is far more beautiful than the images convey. The exterior case is gold plated and decorated with floral motifs on a granulated gilt background. The mirror gives a good clear reflection. The catches and hinges work perfectly. The compact is stamped with the patent number 764125. The base is also embellished with a delightful golden granulated background. The original puff is signed Stratton of London.

Measures 3 1/4 inches diameter. Weighs 100.6 grams.
