A rare and unique antique eggshell and lacquer case Art Deco cigarette case. A very fine antique eggshell & lacquer cigarette case in superb condition. The images do not do this case justice - black lacquer is highly reflective & so the light patches are just reflections. We have included multiple images of the lid & base so that you may verify this statement. A piece of the highest quality with lacquered eggshell corners, the most gorgeous black lacquer & an oriental inlaid silver motif. A stunning addition for the serious collector of Art Deco. Eggshell cases are extremely rare - no two alike & command large sums. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The whole case is in excellent condition - there are no missing or unsound parts. The piece is signed by the maker. Measures 8 cm X 6.9 cm & weighs 80.5 grams.
