A quality Georgian bracket antique clock by Thomas Vesper of London. Choice flame mahogany veneers of good colour to the well proportioned case. A stepped chamfered top with cast pineapple finial and brass block. Side sound brass fretwork with silk backing and gilt side handles. Inset brass bound panels to the case front. A twin fusee, mechanism striking the hours on a bell. Pull repeat cord. Brass bun feet. A convex painted dial with 'moon' blued steel hands signed 'Vesper London' with a cast brass bezel surround and convex glass. Circa 1830.

Thomas Vesper of London is recorded in Baillies' ' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' book as working from 1828-1851.
