Swedish model 1840 cavalry sabre in its steel scabbard. Brass three bar hilt with ribbed, leather covered wooden grip. Curved, single edged blade with makers stamp and Swedish Carl Gustaff mark to spine. Blade marked as made by Alex Coppel, Solingen. Grip wire missing, pitting and rust staining to scabbard with two small dents in scabbard. In good solid condition.

Approximately 106cm overall and blade 88.5cm.
