Superb Kingwood and Rosewood bookcase with brass inlays.
French, C 1890.
This delightful bookcase, recently found inthe south of Paris, is an example of the quality and beauty of this type of French antique furniture and is becoming increasingly rare.
Mainly constructed in solid Oak, then veneered and cross banded in Kingwood, this antique bookcase is extensively banded in brass mouldings. It is enhanced by the two panels in the base, delicately inlaid with flowers and musical instruments.
Seen here in best showroom condition, this bookcase is worthy of a very good home.
