Striking Carriage Clock by Henry Jacot Paris c1895

Superb quality French striking carriage antique clock by Henry Jacot of Paris, elegantly proportioned brass case with cast handle. Bevelled panels and oval top window displaying its jeweled lever platform escapement. Black roman numerals and minute ring on a pristine white enameled dial with blued steel hands. A twin barrel 8-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a coiled gong. Backplate stamped with the Henry Jacot trademark and dial-plate stamped (last images). Supplied with double-ended brass key. Height is 13.25 cm excluding handle (18 cm with handle), width is 9.25 cm and depth 8 cm. Excellent time-keeper. A fabulous example.
