A Gilded and Brass Striking Carriage Clock

A French brass and gilded cased striking carriage clock . An enamel chapter ring dial to the gilt masking with blued steel decorative hands and black Roman numerals, Dentil gilded top and bottom mouldings and a stepped base plinth. A fluted centre to the nicely shaped handle. Half fluted front and side columns. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. A lever escapement. Case numbered 334. Circa 1895.
