A bell striking French brass cased striking carriage antique clock. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. A subsidiary alarm dial at the bottom. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a bell. The original lever escapement visible through the square top glass. Circa 1885.

This is a rarer example being a bell strike along with the alarm function.
