This is a small antique ladies correspondence table. An English, flame mahogany writing table, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835.
Fine suite of functions and storage across an appealing, compact form
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select flame stocks present delightful grain interest throughout
Deep russet and caramel hues dance beneath a wax polish finish
Arrangement of three drawers to the fascia, each configured to individual requirements
Upper drawer boasts a leather skiver set upon a hinged slope, with storage space beneath
Middle drawer outfitted with pen trays to each side, framing central storage
The lowest drawer of full width form, ideal for larger papers or notebooks
Each drawer dressed with pairs of small brass circular pulls
Matched inset locks across all three fascia — in working order, key present
Gently tapering support column of stout proportion with collared mount
