Set of six mid 19th.c. carved walnut dining chairs c.1850. Beautiful shapely frames in solid walnut. Top rail and back stretcher with crisp carved and pierced detail. Sprung seats (height 17″) upholstered in a gold silk, with a serpentine fronts and shaped lower edge. Raised on cabriole front legs with carved detail to the knees and feet. Obvious old marks to the the upholstery on a few of the seats, otherwise very good condition. Repair to the rear of one chair. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
Dimensions: width 17½”, depth 17″, height 33″.
