Set of Six Ladderback Dining Chairs c.1820

Good set of six early 19th.c. Macclesfield type rush seat ladderback dining chairs c.1820. As frames with nicely shaped top rails over four shaped rungs of graduated heights between the turned rear stiles. Very well preserved woven rush seats (height 17") with wooden rails at the fronts and sides. Turned front legs with raised pad feet and joined with lovely turned front stretchers. With simple spindle stretchers to the sides and rear. Excellent condition and particularly good colour and patina to the timber. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
