A lovely set of four antique mahogany dining chairs. We date these dining chairs to the late 19th century.

The chairs sit on two square section legs at the front and two square section slightly splayed legs at the rear. The chairs have an offset H stretcher.

The backrest has a spar back design.

The drop in seat pads are padded and have been newly upholstered in tasteful green and blue heavy woven checked fabric.

The chairs are 37.5" (95cm) high by 19“ (48cm) wide by 20” (51cm) deep. It has a backrest height of 19.5" (50cm), a seat height of 18.5" (47cm), a width of 20" (51cm) and a depth of 16" (41cm).

This lovely set of dining chairs remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including some indentations and wear to the finish and edges. The finish is slightly worn at the top of the backrest where it has been handled over the years and there is an old repair to the back of one chair.

This remains a very stylish and elegant set of dining chairs. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
