A set of four Robert “Mouseman” Thompson Oak Chairs.With tapering rectangular backs enclosing splat carved with lattice work. Leather upholstered paneled seats. Faceted baluster front legs with stretchers.Each carved mouse and original upholstery. In very good and original condition. 850mm high, 450mm wide, 450mm deep and 460mm seat height. Circa 1930. W J Gravener Antiques is a family owned business, started in 1963 by William who was joined by son, Mark in 1981 and continues today with the same ethos of dealing in fine quality English and Continental furniture, mirrors and decorative objects, from the 18th & 19th centuries.
